- Payment deadline
- December 31, 2026, at face value. A 2% discount generally applies through November 1; a 5% penalty applies January 1-31, 2027, and a 10% penalty plus sheriff's fee applies after January 31.
- Assessment appeal
- Under the standard 2026 Kentucky calendar, the tax-roll inspection and PVA-conference period is May 4-May 18, 2026; after completing the required conference, appeal to the county clerk by close of business May 19, 2026, unless an alternate county schedule was published.

Senior relief
Kentucky homeowners age 65 or older, or totally disabled homeowners meeting statutory requirements, may claim the homestead exemption. The 2025-2026 exemption amount is $49,100 against assessed value, and the applicant must own and occupy the residence as of January 1.
