Payment deadline
December 21, 2026, because the statutory December 20 deadline falls on Sunday; second-half taxes are due May 10, 2027.
Assessment appeal
Within 30 days of the 2026 valuation-notice mailing date; Sedgwick County states notices begin arriving March 1, 2026.

Exemption filing

April 15, 2026, for 2025 Kansas Homestead, SAFESR, or K-40SVR claims; a separate 2026-tax-year deadline was not published.

Senior relief

Kansas SAFESR may refund 75% of qualifying principal-residence property tax for Kansas homeowners age 65+ with household income of $25,380 or less and a home valued at no more than $350,000; K-40SVR relief may also apply to qualifying seniors and disabled veterans.
