- Tax bill mailing
- On or before December 15, 2026, under the Kansas statutory calendar; Morton County did not publish a more specific 2026 mailing date.
- Payment deadline
- December 20, 2026 is the statutory first-half/full-payment date; because it falls on Sunday, the deadline extends to Monday, December 21, 2026. The second half is due May 10, 2027.
- Assessment appeal
- Equalization appeal within 30 days of the mailing date of the 2026 real-estate valuation notice, which must be mailed on or before March 1, 2026; payment-under-protest filing by December 20, 2026.

Senior relief
Kansas SAFESR may refund 75% of timely paid principal-residence property tax for qualifying Kansas residents age 65 or older, household income of $25,380 or less, and a home valued at no more than $350,000. K-40SVR relief may also apply to qualifying seniors and disabled veterans.
