Payment deadline
Current property-tax payments are accepted online November 15-December 20 and February 1-May 10; the reviewed Labette County page did not separately publish a 2026 first-half/second-half due-date statement.
Assessment appeal
A valuation protest must be submitted with payment on or before December 20; if an escrow agent pays, the filing window extends to January 31 of the following year, according to the Labette County Treasurer.

Exemption filing

April 15, 2026, for 2025 Kansas Homestead, SAFESR, or K-40SVR property-tax relief claims.

Senior relief

Kansas SAFESR (K-40PT) may refund 75% of timely paid principal-residence property tax for qualifying homeowners age 65+ with 2025 household income of $25,380 or less and a home valued at no more than $350,000; Kansas also offers K-40SVR relief for qualifying seniors and disabled veterans.
