Payment deadline
First-half 2026 property taxes are due December 20, 2026; second-half taxes are due May 10, 2027, to avoid penalty.
Assessment appeal

April 15, 2026, for 2025 Kansas Homestead, SAFESR, or K-40SVR property-tax relief claims.

Senior relief

Kansas SAFESR (K-40PT) may refund 75% of timely paid principal-residence property tax for qualifying homeowners age 65+ with 2025 household income of $25,380 or less and a home valued at no more than $350,000; Kansas also offers K-40SVR relief for qualifying seniors and disabled veterans.
