- May 2026; the official Treasurer FAQ states tax bills are mailed in May each year.
- Payment deadline
- First installment is due 30 days after the May mailing; second installment is due September 1, 2026 (or the next working day when applicable).

Senior relief
Macon County's Supervisor of Assessments administers homestead exemptions and links current forms; the county Treasurer also administers the Senior Citizens' Real Estate Tax Deferral Program. Current senior-freeze filing details should be confirmed with the assessment office.
