Tax bills & filing dates
These are the dates and qualifications recorded in the directory. Confirm your tax year and current deadline with the official office and your property’s notice.
- Tax bill mailing
- By November 23, 2026 (the fourth Monday in November); Idaho's official property-tax guidance states most county tax bills are mailed by that date.
- Payment deadline
- December 21, 2026 for the full amount or first half (statutory December 20 falls on Sunday; next business day); second half June 21, 2027 (statutory June 20 falls on Sunday; next business day).
- Assessment appeal
- June 22, 2026 (the fourth Monday in June) for the 2026 assessment appeal; contact the county assessor promptly after receiving the assessment notice.

April 15, 2026; Idaho homeowner-exemption and Property Tax Reduction applications generally run January 1-April 15, with the next-business-day rule when applicable.
Senior relief
Idaho's Property Tax Reduction (Circuit Breaker) program may assist qualifying homeowners age 65 or older, widows/widowers, blind applicants, qualifying disabled applicants, former POWs/hostages, and certain fatherless or motherless minors. Eligibility is income- and expense-based; the 2026 application period was January 1-April 15, and the benefit appears on the December 2026 bill.
