Tax bills & filing dates
These are the dates and qualifications recorded in the directory. Confirm your tax year and current deadline with the official office and your property’s notice.
- Tax bill mailing
- July 20, 2026 for the first-half bill and January 20, 2027 for the second-half bill.
- Payment deadline
- August 20, 2026 and February 20, 2027; official RPAD dates identify the two installment deadlines.
- Assessment appeal
- January 15, 2026 for the 2026 assessment appeal period, which runs December 15-January 15; amended notices use the applicable amended-notice period.

September 30, 2025 for the July 1, 2026-June 30, 2027 tax year; official RPAD guidance states exemption claims are due September 30 preceding the tax year.
Senior relief
For 2026-27, the Honolulu home exemption is $120,000 for qualifying owners under age 65 and $160,000 for qualifying owners age 65+; the City also offers a real-property tax credit program for qualifying lower-income homeowners.
