These are the dates and qualifications recorded in the directory. Confirm your tax year and current deadline with the official office and your property’s notice.

Tax bill mailing
On or before November 1, 2026; Citrus Tax Collector states tax statements are normally mailed on or before November 1.
Payment deadline
March 31, 2027; 2026 real-property taxes must be paid by March 31, 2027 to avoid becoming delinquent April 1, 2027.

March 1, 2026; Citrus states the homestead application must be submitted by March 1.

Senior relief

Citrus lists state senior/disability and veteran-related exemptions and discounts; the reviewed official page did not publish a separate countywide 2026 senior exemption amount.

Valuation limits

Citrus's official exemption page states that, beginning the year after homestead is received, assessed value cannot increase by more than the lesser of CPI or 3% under Save Our Homes.
