Exemptions & appeals
View exemption application (opens in a new tab)Senior relief
Senior-citizen, disabled-veteran, and widow/widower exemptions are administered by the Assessing Department; the official source reviewed confirms the programs but does not publish a separate 2026 senior deadline.
Valuation limits
No individual annual assessment-growth cap identified in the official source reviewed; Alaska requires full and true market value as of January 1. The state and local tax-cap rules limit levies or aggregate revenue, not an individual parcel's annual assessed-value growth.
For a valuation appeal, use the appeal date in the tax and filing section above. Keep your notice, supporting evidence, and proof of submission.
